About Me
Founder, Nordic App Studio
I am Ferdinand Drobik, founder of Nordic App Studio, an independent iOS studio in Copenhagen. I lead the design and craft of every app, so the whole studio holds together as one thing. It is built on a simple idea: a small family of handcrafted apps that run entirely on your device, with no tracking, no ads, and no accounts.
Built by hand, on purpose
Every app is designed, drawn, written, and built with care. The icons and illustrations are drawn by hand rather than pulled from a kit, and every app leans on Apple's own frameworks rather than a stack of third-party libraries. The result takes longer to build and is easier to trust: fewer moving parts, fewer surprises, and a look that belongs to the app rather than to a template.
Private because there is nothing to collect
I did not bolt privacy on at the end. The apps are built so that there is simply nothing to collect: no analytics, no trackers, no third-party SDKs, and in most cases no network at all. Your photos, your breath, your words, and your progress stay on your device. Where an app uses AI, it runs on the device too.
Answering to users, not investors
There are no investors and no servers holding your data. The apps answer to the people who use them, not to advertisers, and nothing is funded by selling data. That keeps the incentives pointed in the right direction.
