I am Ferdinand Drobik, founder and CEO of Nordic App Studio, an independent iOS studio in Copenhagen. I lead the design and craft of every app, so the whole studio holds together as one thing. It is built on a simple idea: a small family of handcrafted apps that run entirely on your device, with no tracking, no ads, and no accounts.
Every app is designed, drawn, written, and built with care. The icons and illustrations are drawn by hand rather than pulled from a kit, and every app leans on Apple's own frameworks rather than a stack of third-party libraries. The result takes longer to build and is easier to trust: fewer moving parts, fewer surprises, and a look that belongs to the app rather than to a template.
I did not bolt privacy on at the end. The apps are built so that there is simply nothing to collect: no analytics, no trackers, no third-party SDKs, and in most cases no network at all. Your photos, your breath, your words, and your progress stay on your device. Where an app uses AI, it runs on the device too.
There are no investors and no servers holding your data. Some apps are free, and some have a clear, plainly priced option. Either way the studio is paid by the people who use the apps, not by advertisers and not by selling data. That keeps the incentives pointed in the right direction.
